Soak, soak and soak again. Then try power wash, just dont go near it with a cloth! The shinier the car, the more liable to a sh*** attack - some say it's because the reflection of the gleaming car makes the bird think its over water, and so they drop the load!

Ciars is right, I meant just soak the cloth in hot water, drop it on the sh1t and let it heat it up / soften it before washing the car
