Did you full the unit with fluid before fitting it? It's not necessary but does help. I'm not sure of the configuration of the e36 but you will need to active the abs pump to purge the air out of it. The e46 for example can be activated with inpa. Depending on the system type some will have a relay. Crossing the relay will cycle the pump.
Get someone to activate the pump and while running open the bleed nipple for a few seconds then shut the nipple and stop the pump. It'll take a good few cycles to get it spot on.
No I didn't but it's second hand so there is some in there somewhere. Where's the bleed nipple? I assume the way the car is I can put all back together as battery needs to go back in to start the car and then the pump is out of reach...
Do you have jump leads?Originally Posted by Lucifer
Ya I have why?
Put them on your nipples and start the car all will be revealed afterwards
Maybe use them so you can start with the battery out of the way allowing you space?Originally Posted by Lucifer
fit all back ,fit battery, start it and bleed it as normal ,its not some fancy mercedes or citroen
Yea have it done big man just wanted to know if there was more to it. I set off the abs about 5 times and then bled it. The DSC light is still on now on its own. Wtf used to be that and abs. No abs now but still dsc...ImageUploadedByTapatalk1407182717.139198.jpg
