Liqui Moly FS 5w30 as a substitute to Castrol FS?

As above, is Liqui Moly FS oil a good substitute to known brands as Castrol and Mobil 1?
    Liqui Moly 5w30: 38euros/5 liters
    Castrol Edge: 53euros/5 liters
    Mobil 1 ESP: 58euros/5 liters

All of the above are ll04 compatible.
    Any one tried this oil?
    Thanks!

Once it meets the LL04 standard then I don't really mind what brand of oil goes in the E60. VW501 01 for the Fabia.

I would have thought the Fabia to be 507?

Manual says VW501 01. Same as the owners forum on BriSkoda?
It's a VRs with the PD130 engine if that makes any difference?

    It's actually 502, which succeeded 501 01.

I had it in my head that it had a DPF with the straight exhaust which would have been 507

It's an ASZ engine if memory serves?

I've no idea if the engine code Dave. I had planned on cleaning out the bay the weekend and checking filters etc but the weather stopped all that.

Good thing I didn't spend all weekend looking for an oil that has been superceeded

Vw oil is such a pain in the ass, I had a v6 tdi a4 Quattro a few years ago and they were prone to cam wear so I had to be very careful when it came to oil.

Vw's in house oil is quantum and it's cheap enough from main dealer.

Has your car got cruise control?

No cruise control. I believe it's just a matter of getting the stalk, loom and code with VAGCOM?

    Yup!

I have vagcom if you need it. Also lit needles are a nice mod.

The go-to guy for VAG is without a doubt George Dalton in portlaois. I'd make a run to him to get the cruise control retrofitted, he's done a lot of work for me in the past and I couldn't praise him enough.
