    Timing Belt E60

Just looking for some guidance, i have a 520 d E60 2008, was in getting a service done today and i mentioned about the sound of the engine. I have heard about issues with the timing belts. Well they said it doesnt sound that bad, and after the service they mentioned it could be the fly wheel. Ive 96000 miles clocked, and i was wondering if anybody on here has work done on it, and also a ball park figure for the cost. Any help would be appreciated.

I,assume you mean the dreaded Timing Chain issue. Get a second opinion. When the timing chain and guides are on their way out, they are quite distinctive in their sound.

Think it's about 1500-2000 to put right before they got as a preventative measure.
