    See the pic I posted of the tail-light.... Large enough to get your hand in and get the keys.

    Rear light is only 3 bolts, Dunno how awkward a quarter window is to replace?

    Does an E46 Deadlock?

    There is a manual boot release cord. I don't want to say more on a forum, but digging holes as in the picture above and smashing Windows is not the way to get at it.

    @[JohnH] father had to do it once to an E60, deffo a quick but brutal solution.

    ordered a. A valet key will have in 2 days
    also in meantime I slightly wedged the door and managed to get a long slim thing in there it tends to go towards the door and does not give me enough angle to reach the switch and anyway I just realised the switch will not work
    no way a coat hangar will pull the lever I think it s too flexible

    Coat hanger will do it just put a loop on the end of it.

    Wrap a small magnet with the coat hanger insert hanger and use magnet to pick up keys. Learned this when a friend used to regularly lock her keys in her shit box corsa
