E60 525d ABS/TC error

I have replaced my original 5 series 17' wheels by 20' wheels. The front tyres are 225/30 and rear are 275/30. Before the replacement there was no error. After that, the error is not coming up immediately when the car engine starts. Only when I drive over 40 km/h, the ABS/TC lights on.

I have checked the error code is 5E5E. The error is on HDC (nur 4*4).

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Before i even look it up on id say its safe to say your rolling radius is way off with them tyre sizes

Until you change to correct tyre sizes you will continue to get this

When you gather momentum the car thinks its loosing traction due to incorrect tyre size


Edit: this is the change in your rolling radius its far too much



This would be the ideal tyre size if you want to keep the front narrow due to rubbing etc



With extra sidewall it should be a less harsh ride then the 30 profile also

But the diameters have to be the same? Anyway to code around?

Yep rolling radius needs to be very similiar

The only option is too completely diasble the traction control permenantly best off changing front tyres in the meantime you could turn off the t/c each time you get into the car

This is really helpful. After I active the DTC mode and restrict DSC, the error does not come up this morning.

So we can confirm that the error comes from the different diameter sizes. right?

I think I gonna use these tyres for a while and change them before next NCT, as long as the error not coming up again.
