Stolen NCT certs
The news is awash with a (re) report of the NCT cert robbery back in 2013, which could well mean that these are now possibly popping back up on cars or for sale on the black market. Seen as this forum is constantly buying and selling, thought it was worthwhile firing this up to keep it fresh in peoples minds.

Stolen NCT certs
Yeah it was the Drogheda centre that was robbed as my car was in that morning. They called me the following day and just asked me to verify the number on my cert. Thought it was weird until I seen the news that evening.

Seems like a big volume of them! Any found being used in a 'dodgy' way?

Ross posted a few links on a tread of mine when I was looking for a car for my daughter it might prevent someone getting caught out. Those more computery than I might make a sticky or something like that from.his links.

RE: Stolen NCT certs
Easy way to tell if a nct on a car is real or nor.
* Ncts.ie
* Go to bookings
* Half way down the page ther is a link to see when the car is due.
* Type in reg and it will tell you all the information.
It's a great tool to have and saved me a few times.
