thanks for your replys lads,access isn't great,gonna have to try the the chain grips and failing that the only way is probably to break it and get it that way..very soft metal

tried again today and wont budge,tried hot water and vice grips and no good,with me trying with the vice grips its now practically round as its soft metal.what the fook to do to get it off..

The key is a good smack to get it off. I sheered mine too but was able to get one last grip and smack it with your hand or hammer. Maybe you could file down the sides where the vice grip would clamp on?

gonna take the unit out and will have full access then.gonna do all the vanos seals when im at it..all just to fit a camshaft sensor...

bought of a guy in meath secondhand for 30 euro delivered.worth a shot as I reckon new probably 150 or 200.couldnt find them new on the internet.
