Finished work yesterday and noticed a few of these on my car so went and washed it straight away but unfortunatly there is a mark left on the paint where the droppings were. What is the best way to get rid of them?

The thing with bird dropping is that they are never the same. Sometimes they don't stain, other times they do and it could be hand polished off but then theres the times that even when polished might need wet sanding to fully remove.
Bird droppings are at their worst when:
- The heat & sun are let bake it in to the paint.
- Around Autumn time when the birds are eating fruit & the resultant droppings tend t be more acidic.
- Wiped off with tissue or kitchen roll, a disaster, do not use paper.
I normally put water soaked kitchen paper over dried in droppings, let it soak in & then try hose the dropping off. Never wipe with the kitchen paper though.
