    Perfection

    Hi Folks,

First post here, looking for some advice. I've been looking for a 525i e39 msport for the last few months. I'm starting to wonder if I'm just expecting too much. I want a full service history, mint condition top spec motor but I'm mostly getting, cars with a lot of owners, sketchy histories, some are in decent Nick but most have been fairly shit.

So I'm starting to think my expectations are a little unreal. I'm just wondering what your experiences have been, should I keep the faith or is it time to shit or get off the pot?

    Cheers

Don't have one really, within reason obviously but I'd pay a premium for a premium motor.

If money isn't an object go to the UK and go for a 530i, they're worth the extra tax imho. Still one of the best cars I've owned.

Otherwise it's just a matter of being patient.

Sorry, money's obviously a consideration, otherwise id be browsing m5's. I just meant I'm not lookin for a mint conditioned car on a shoe string budget.

I'd prefer to buy one in Ireland and avoid the hassle of importing. So I'll just try wait it out some more.

Seem to be a few popping up now:

Another strategy might be to buy a slightly more tired one and use the savings to do a full suspension refresh, vanos seals, disa valve, ccv etc etc
