Spurious vs OEM?
I'm looking for a topaz blue passenger side wing for a face-lift E46 touring.
They pop up on done deal regularly so finding one isn't a problem.
What I need to know is if there is a way to tell the difference between a genuine BMW wing and a spurious one? Maybe a BMW stamp or a part number somewhere on it?

The inside will be a dead giveaway assuming it's a used part. The OE part will have under seal in spots and will be a beige kinda colour. Spurious will most likely be black and lacking any treatment inside. There is also a stamped symbol on the OE wings near the front top bolt(well at least on the preface saloon there is).
The OE part will generally be of much higher quality.

Here's the symbols on mine, both are used genuine replacements:
An S on drivers side, D on passenger side.
Hope that helps.
