    245/40/17 or 225/45/17

    Hi. All,
Currently I have on my e36 coupe tires 245/40/17 on 8"( back) I just bought style 42 17" / 8'' and I wondering can I change the tires on the back for 225/45/17? So I will have the same tires on the front and back...

Also can anyone recommend garage in Cork to do full tracking + changing tires + balancing...
    Thanks
    Wojtek

Just check that these aren't off an e39, with the odd size of centre bore. They could still be used on an e36 but would need inserts.

They have the exact same profile, 245 are just bit wider and lot more expensive, firmer ride, but better traction. You can easily have 225 for the front and 245 for the rear.
