    Airbag module coding?

I've long suspected my Airbag module is kaput - it doesn't turn on the airbag check light when you turn on the ignition whereas the much more common problem is the check light doesn't go off. I've checked the cluster, swapped the LED and even put another instrument cluster in to verify and am pretty confident the MRS unit is the issue.

I've purchased a second hand one from Ebay. It matches all the numbers on my existing unit except Serien-Nr. Does it need to be coded to my car? If it does is there anybody in the Dublin area who could do it for me?

You can get the original module tested and recoded. A guy in blanchardstown has done three for me in different makes and models with success each time. It costs around 50 euro.
