10 year expiry is approaching and I was reviewing the process for renewal, seems you don't need an eye test or the like. Seems things are a little more straightforward.

Unless your renewing a truck or bus license, in that case it's a full medical you need to do including eye test....and renewal is every 5 years

Yeah so it appears, great to see something has gotten a little easier.
Since when? My truck and bus licence were always 10 year ones !

Not sure when it came in but that's the way it is now, probably since the NDLS centres opened. On the card you get a ten year expiry date on your B and A categories and a five years expiry date on higher categories. If you don't fancy renewing you truck and bus licenses in five years your license is still valid for cars or bikes etc
