Re-code e36 alarm fob- lost keys

    Hi Lads,

I've somehow lost the keys to my e36 318is. I have a back-up but the battery died in the separate remote fob and the immobilizer is now on and cant drive the car.

Anyone know where I can get new battery for fob and get it re-programmed for the car?

If the fob is for the car would you not just need the battery?

right so got new battery, and fob turns off alarm. However, spare key is not turning over the car so I'm thinking its the immobiliser and the key doesnt have the chip as the car is turning on once key goes in just not starting.

    Anyone any suggestions?
