    Grom Problems

When I bought the CD43 a few months ago to put in the e30 I also bought a Grom IPD4, Bluetooth dongle and USB aux in connection as I wanted full functionality but for everything to be hidden.

The music part of he Grom works fine but the bluetooth seems not to be working right for me.

When I pair my iPhone 6 (iOS9.3.2) to the Grom it connects fine but the second time I try to connect my phone says it can't connect and to make sure the Grom is on and within range.

I have reset it a few times and there's no change. It has been tried with an android phone and there doesn't seem to be any problems.

I've sent an email to Grom buy thought I'd check if anyone else has had similar issues?

    Cheers
    John

Exact same issue with mine, I also contacted them with there response to move the dongle closer to the phone I.e mine was beside the cd changer in the boot. Never got around to moving it tbh.

Hmmm. My dongle is under the ashtray and the phone usually sits just above it can't get much closer.

Check the sticker on your BT dongle. Does it show : F.1.6?

Must also check my own, does that mean it's the most recent software/dongle? Afaik my kit is about 1.5-2yrs old.

If the firmware version is F.1.6 or less, it will never work with iPhone 6 and a few new phones
You need to buy a newer dongle. You can't upgrade the firmware on these.

As for your car, you should install it in the C pillar. Never in the trunk.
