A friend has an 2011 F10 520d. Think there's about 110K Kms on it.
Someone mentioned to him that the N47 diesels seem to be quite keen on breaking timing chains.
I think his worry was he may have the same engine. I suppose this leads to two questions
i) Is the guy right in that there is a good chance the chain will break or is it so uncommon that the chances of that happening are are slim...
ii) If there are variations of that engine, which ones are more susceptible and is his car more likely to have the dodgy one.
