I’m not using my car to the extent I thought I would, and considering my small commute each day, and the dropping prices of i3s - I’m more or less tempted to go for one of those at the moment.
Current car’s a 330ci Clubsport with SMG in Carbon Black. Mechanically, I’ve spent good time and money on it. It’s had:
New Clutch
New SMG Pump fitted at Kearys
DISA Valve repair with the upgraded metal flap kit
New CCV Valve and hoses
New intake boots following a smoke test
New Rocker Cover Gasket, rebuilt VANOS
New Oil Filter Housing and Belts
New Final Stage Resistor
New Thermostat Housing
Low Pressure Expansion Bottle Cap (1.2 Bar - about 80 euro imported), ideal for older cars
I’ve also fitted the following:
Rear Electric Sunblind
Pioneer CarPlay double-din Headunit + Reversing Camera
M Sport Steering Wheel with M Stitching and Thumb Grips, work carried out by Royal Steering Wheels in the UK
Factory Spec is the Clubsport Spec - so Clubsport Leather, M Body Kit, Clubsport Spoiler & Sills, Xenons, 18" MVIIs, Harman Kardon, Heated Seats, Climate, MFSW, PDC, Sunroof, Anthracite Headliner, DSC.
Cosmetically, she’s a little tired. She turns heads on the road, but could benefit from having most of the panels with the exception of roof, boot and rear bumper repainted. There are some little dings on all the other panels from the previous owner - I have meant to sort them out, but have never had time. TBH, I’m probably being overly fussy. Someone else might not even see what I see, and would be okay with her as is.
What would she be worth these days? 132k on the clock, running like mouses heart and still has most of her 231 Bhp from the factory. I guess it's worth what someone's willing to pay - but curious to know people's thoughts on it.
