    Windscreen Repair

Worst luck, a stone hit my windscreen of the M4 and cracked the glass, its pretty long crack so I dont think it will repair. An recommendation where to get a new windscreen. Anyone know if there is an issue with the head up display? Quality is the priority over cost here.

    Thanks chaps.

That's a pain. I had to get one in the e92 a few years back and got Murphy & Gunn to fit it. I replaced the auto lights sensor at the same time as I was advised that can sometimes not work afterwards. I'm sure they can advice on HUD.

Also, if anything does go wrong as a consequence they'll be more able to fix it than an AAAAAAwindscreens type crowd

Isn't it a specific windscreen for HUD too? It is on the E60 anyway...

Rang the crowd my insurance want me to use....they said that the car had to be recallibrated to the new screen (the rain sensor I think and the auto lights) so they cannot do it, the insurance want me to go to a main dealer. I am relieved. Waiting on a quote from them.

1000 euro from one dealer and 850 from another. Will go with the cheaper as I prefer them anyway. Expensive piece of glass.
