I think he meant if they where to replace the boot floor section directly behind the bumper that it would write the car off which it prob would. Subframe repair would be a separate job
Yeah, sorry I worded it so badly.

Getting the boot floor replaced would turn it into an uneconomical repair and result in a write off. So since I don't have to (or rather, I can't) get the floor replaced by the third party then the repairers have no reason to drop the rear subframe. This means if I ask for the reinforcement treatment I'll be taking on all the associated labour costs personally as a separate job to the crash repairs and is something I can't afford at the minute.
