RE: Engine conversion, insurance and tax question.
I have done this before but opposite way round bit same theory
1.6 sir civic. 1.5 engine.
All you will need to do is.
Get a rf111 change of particular form.
Bring the car to a main dealer they will stamp it (it has to be a main dealer for the make of car involved)
Send it off and you will receive a new book.
Now for the insurance side of things. You may be asked to do this ( I was)
They will send you out a couple of forms to be filled out by you and a main dealer. ThE main dealer will have to examine the full car.
A few Questions on the insurance form
underbody rust
condition of brakes
oil leaks
exposed wiring and neatness
tyre condition
Engine numbers
Basically it's like a nct report for the insurance company.
