RE: Audi RS6 project with Motor Confidence

Auto gearbox is life time sealed as Audi says ,same BMW do
Car is not high mileage so gearbox oil change would be very good step and longer gearbox life in future .New box sump gasket as sump must be removed to change oil filter ,old filter replaced with new one ,sump fitted back with new gasket and new oil filled .
Full engine service done ,engine oil with filter ,air ,pollen and fuel filters replaced and new original Audi plugs fitted .Now shes ready for test drive !! First after its purchase :smiling:

All going well ,pulls nice and strong .Gave it some harder drive to be sure that any bad points will show their signs asap before owner will collect it  as car was laying for enough long time ,and here we come :crying: oil leak threw engine and gearbox cooler ,threw joints and one of steel hose.We saw that hoses was disconnected early and fitted back with some tape to fix that leak ,so front bumper should came off to get access to fix these problems .They needed to remove them probably when they did timing belt and needed more access ,but aluminium connections in long time gets corroded and can be easy damaged when removing ,that's what happened . The hose joints are steel so they don't get any damage and can be re-used,but not damaged tread :surprised:. New cooler would cost over 1k e ,so we did some custom work.Re -treaded damaged part with different size tread but now old hose wont fit of different sizes .another step to get new joint to suit both ends ,thats what we have done and fitted it back .Another hose problem was - rust !! to fix it we must remove it as well ,one connection near engine oil filter housing and it worked fine but other end was on cooler ,so same problem with tread again .this time we got new custom made high pressure hose to replace damaged hose and suit new different size end on cooler .Finally it got fixed and car back on the road ,just before Christmas ,very happy to finish it after nearly 3 weeks ,we got stuck on some parts as was only main dealer and bad weather in England which made some delays as well .Now after another test drive all looks ok and no any more any oil or coolant leaks
