Oh if that was an option at the time I would 100% go for that but I would have thought replacing a high mileage engine with a younger engine would make more sense no?

The engine is a super engine, powerful and economical but if it clapped out in a few years time (I'm hoping it won't) I was trying to judge if the only type of usable replacement would be the same engine or if the newer M57TU2D30 engines were applicable as they stretch right up to 2010 if you get me?
