My garage is 40 square meters, power floated floor, left alone for a few years, painted in Summer '13.

I was told by the very knowledgeable chap in the paint shop that all floor paint has sealer properties in it and as a result the floor does not need that first 'sealing' stage that you already completed.

There are two main types of floor paint, safety and regular. The safety paint has the gritted effect, regular paint is 'slippy' when wet!

There are loads of colours available; black, red, grey, green and blue from what I could see and I chose blue.

My garage floor is painted about a 2years. It has little 'traffic', as in, I just drive the car in and reverse out every once in a while. Theres no turning of wheels/tyres.

The paint has recently started to flake in certain areas.

But I'd much prefer to have it done and give it a freshen every 2yrs than not have it done. The garage is much easier to keep clean.
