oil Services used to include the Micro Filter too, they have obvioulsy cut back on that.
not a bad price to keep up a dealer history in fairness though.
Yeah its interesting BMW "recommend" the micro filter with the oil change on their bmwservice.ie website but then a dealer can offer this deal without it? Maybe they upsell when you go in?Originally Posted by kceire
Still, I was of the same opinion "not a bad price to keep up a dealer history".
You'll always get the up sell, when they read the key it will automatially call out all the things that you should get done to stick the the schedules, to be fair most of that stuff is about right, with the exception of long oil service intervals & the "lifetime" coolant/diff/gear oil interval.Originally Posted by eddiem74
You'll also get the upsell for items spotted during the check, again it is the right thing they are doing but they will always err on the side of caution when calling out waht needs to be done. They don't know if you're the type of person that knows all the ins & outs of car maintenance or if you're the type of person that sees a car as almost a "white good" type thing that the "service" fixes everything.
BTW, that price is available on BMW Service website:
