    Exactly - real world MPG isn't great by all accounts either as two owners I've spoken with confirmed.

    The price difference pays for a huge amount of petrol in a 630i and as I stated previously, the LCI ('08 on) has the same tax rate (€750 annually)

    Rarely see 08 + 630i, any for sale at the minute? Consideribg you can buy an 05/06 630i for 4/5k , 635ds are around 10/11k, would a 630i fall in the middle? If there 750 tax then they do make good sense.

    I see a 645i on dondeal with a whopper receipt for engine oil leak repairs ! Didnt realise they were so common!

    Exactly, anybody that buys any of those cars are going to need to resign themselves to the fact that they will probably be the last owners. Or they'll have to give them away.

    So what kind of price range would a decent lci 630i fall into?

    On the flipside (totally unethical motor tax aside), there's some serious value to be had in pre-2008 big engined cars. 99% are being overlooked due to the PCP/Cheap Tax brigade's single mindedness.....

    Last I saw on DD (a low mileage silver one about 3 months ago) was asking about €10k private. Obviousy no idea what it eventually sold at.

    This low mile '07 (pre LCI naturally) has been sitting for a long time so could be picked up cheaper again I suspect...

    To be fair though there is a massive difference in a 645 and an m6. The 645 always struck me as the baby M and honestly I can't see it being too much more expensive to run than the 630i. Plus i think the 630i us a bit underpowered.

    Any of the petrols are half the price of the diesels too

    My friend sold his black 08 LCI 630i (€750 tax) for €11k after having it advertised for over 3 months. Despite the €750 tax, there just such a small market for them. The also all pretty much seem to suffer from injector issues which are costly to fix! Apart from that they’re great cars, I loved his and considered buying it more than once!
