You're definitely right about people probably underestimating depreciation on new cars in general and not just with EVs. However as I understand it an ID3 costs around €40k. If the author of that article is talking about a €15k drop since he bought it, that is nearly a 40% decrease in a year. Surely that is more extreme than usual?
